On January 14, it took place the inauguration of the ISSSTEP Hospital complex, in which Apotheka America was involved. The Governor of Puebla, Rafael Moreno Valle and the Secretary of Health, José Narro Robles assisted to the event and made a recognition of the improvements in the facilities of this hospital and care received by more than 157 thousand beneficiaries.
Among the main areas that were improved are the emergency room, hemodialysis, operating room and pharmacy; where Apotheka America was responsible for automating the last one. Were installed two ROBOMAT equipment with a capacity of administration up to 50 thousand medicines each. This will improve the time of response for each patients, as the system is able to dispense a medication every 15 seconds.
In addition to the ROBOMAT equipment; Apotheka America was in charge of optimizing the dispensing of medicines at the rooms, with the help of automated unit dose system and cabinets. Which protect the patient’s safety by authenticating that the medication being dispensed is the correct one.
These equipment represent a significant saving for the institution, since they improve the management of inventories and reduce the losses. Allowing the destination of a bigger amount of resources to the attention of the rights holders.
At the event, the government talked about the importance of providing medical care with quality infrastructure and adequate equipment. This has a gradual increase in the health care services that are granted in the state.
The Secretary of Health took the opportunity to dismiss the governor, who ends his term in the coming days, and congratulate him for the work he has done in Puebla.
